When you come in to get fitted for your tuxedo, here's what we'll need to know:
1. Your height, weight and standard suit size. We'll compare your measurements to ours.
2. Waist measurement. We take your waist measurement snugly at navel height, as formal trousers are worn slightly higher than normal slacks.
3. Chest measurement, under your arms. This measurement is taken well up under the arms and straight across the back - over the widest part of the shoulder blades and then over the front of the chest. We then add 1" to estimate the coat size.
4. Chest measurement, over your arms. This measurement is taken around the chest and includes the biceps, snug but not tight.
5. Outseam of pants. From the top of the waistline to 1" above the heel line of the shoe.
6. Neck measurement. This neck measurement will also include leaving room for one finger between the neck and the collar.
7. Sleeve measurement. This measurement is from the top vertebrae, over the high point of the shoulder, down the arm to 1" below the wrist bone.
If you are out of town and not able to come to our store prior to your event, please go to a local tuxedo shop or men's store and have them take these measurements. This is a very common reciprocal practice which happens all the time. Then please submit your fitting information below...
